PATTISON COMPLEX FIRE FINAL RELEASE San Andreas The County of Calaveras Board of Supervisors met this afternoon in an emergency meeting at 891 Mountain Ranch Road, Administrative Office, to declare a local emergency related to the damage caused by the fire. The fire is 100% contained and control is expected later this week. CDF Incident Command Team 6 will transition control of the fire back to the local unit at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. The Red Cross says that those families who sustained a loss from the fire can contact the Red Cross for assistance at (916) 997-5023. The cost of fighting the fire is over two million dollars to date. The fire burned 2,676 acres and destroyed thirteen (13) homes, two of which were under construction, numerous outbuildings, vehicles, and equipment. The damage assessment team continues it’s work and is in the process of compiling the information. Firefighters will be on watch throughout the night for any potential problems. Fire officials continue releasing firefighters and equipment from the incident. CDF expects to complete their fire line repair efforts by late Monday afternoon. Officials want to remind the public that as we conclude this weekend the potential for fire remains extreme. Please be fire safe.
